MORE IGOR AND JASMINE UPDATES!

Friday March 19, 2010

Hi Kathy -

The girls are doing good!!  Jasmine seems to really enjoy hanging out with Tsuko and tends to follow her example. Jasmine is very laid back and well behaved. She's very attentive when I talk to her and she eats a lot!!  She finally took to a bit of exploring the other evening and I did notice her trying to dig in a few spots - So we are keeping an eye on her to see if we need to get that nesting box ready..........

Igor is a bit more nervous then Jasmine and so she has moments where she is extremely active and will continually walk back and forth over the top of Jasmine and Tsuko - after a while they get a bit annoyed with it and move a way from her for a while. She's eating really good now. Yesterday and today Igor decided to start testing the pecking order between herself and Jasmine - but the confrontations weren't too serious - However we keep a close eye on them to make sure that things don't go too far. I think that Igor is just a bit more confused about the changes and it will take a while longer for her to adjust - But I expected that. She seems to get more comfortable when we give her more personal attention. She is a character! But she is also quite a sweetie - and she really seems to like it when I sit next to her and talk to her. She definitely hurt her nose a bit during her trip - it's more obvious now because the area has scabbed over and looks dark - so we've been keeping it clean and put some anti bacterial on the area - she doesn't seem to mind.
